Nicole Di Maria
Technician
An Astoria, Queens native, Nicole brings her extensive knowledge of both veterinary medicine and business management to Behavior Vets.
After earning her Bachelors in Veterinary Technology from Quinnipiac University in CT, she attended two years of veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Through Ross, she was able to volunteer her time and expertise in South Africa through Ecolife expeditions where she spent time darting animals from helicopters in order to provide wound care and medical attention. While there, she learned how to rope down a giraffe and was exposed to conservation and animal welfare practices.
After her time at Ross, Nicole became a Surgery Assistant at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. There, though neurology was her favorite, she also worked in the emergency and surgery departments. She comes to Behavior Vets after working as the office manager and assistant practice manager at Park East Animal Hospital in Manhattan.
An expert at foster failing, Nicole has a cavachon, two pittie mixes, and a tabby cat. In her spare time, her friends and family -including her fur family – are her priority.
