Jeanne Clune, CPDT-KA, FFCT
Certified Dog Behavior Consultant
"Every time I am in an animal's presence, I learn something new....something about myself and something about that animal. It is an amazing gift to be able to work with dogs and cats and their guardians. I never take for granted that our animal friends are sentient beings, who deserve our compassion and guidance in living in our homes."
Jeanne Clune (CPDT-KA) is a Behavior Consultant with Behavior Vets. Jeanne is a faculty member of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. She founded Joyful Pets of Westchester in 2012 which offered Training and Animal Reiki to clients through 2019.
In 2015, Jeanne joined the SPCA of Westchester, as their Director of Behavior and Enrichment. During her tenure with the SPCA, she started the Fearful Dog Program and led The Way Home Program. Jeanne worked on Behavior Modification plans and enrichment programs for dogs with behavioral challenges. She successfully placed dogs surrendered with separation anxiety, socialization and reactivity issues into homes, that continued the work begun through The Way Home and Fearful Dog Programs.
Jeanne’s mission is to help families develop a healthy and harmonious environment for training, healing and fun with their pets. She has run free community workshops in Westchester for owners of dogs with behavioral issues. In 2015, Jeanne formed the Shelter Trainer Forum to provide local trainers with a platform to discuss Behavior Modification techniques, shelter enrichment, and share their successes and failures with placing shelter animals in the appropriate homes.
Jeanne is a certified Fear Free Trainer. She is a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and Association of Pet Dog Trainer (APDT). She has attended endless conferences and workshops over the last 12 years, sharpening her skill set and learning about Animal Behavior Modification.
Jeanne raised her two daughters in Westchester County, NY, and now lives in Patterson, NY with her husband, a special canine, Hank, and a young tabby named Ali. In her free time, she loves to travel, share Reiki with animals at local shelters/sanctuaries and farms, snorkel, hike, paddle board, practice yoga or walk in the woods in quiet admiration of our animal kingdom.
